Mission Statement

Partnership

Saphara works with local communities in mutually respectful and empowering partnerships, bringing healing and wholeness to our broken world.

Justice and Peace

Peace-building and reconciliation are central, and standing in solidarity with those who experience poverty, powerlessness and marginalisation, especially girls and young women.

Value of every human life

We believe that every young person is created by God and deserves to be loved, valued, respected and enabled to flourish.

Deep Education

Transformational learning encompasses the intellectual, emotional and spiritual development of young people and their teachers through creating safe spaces for self-reflection.

Community

Nurturing communities provide authentic spaces where resilience, empathy, compassion and responsibility can grow as we work together for a common purpose.

Faith and Love

Our Christian faith is central and yet we are respectful of other faiths and none, encouraging young people to reflect on their own beliefs in relation to poverty and justice, and to share with others.
